220 volts/50Hz. Plugs are 2 pronged and rounded, bring an adapter for your phone, tablet, laptop, etc. Mainland Europe’s plugs are mostly the same except for the UK's which are 3 pronged and flat.
Unfortunately not - all presenters must attend the conference and present in person.
Everyone entering Hungary must have a valid travel document. In the case of European Union Member States, a national identity card or a passport is required. Visas are required for some countries. Delegates must check their requirement by visiting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Consular Services website (see the link below).

Yes, all attendees, whether presenting or not, are required to pay the conference fees. If you book before 31st May 2018, you will benefit from Early Bird Booking rates and some applicants may be able to access PhD student discounts or EECERA member discount. No. The conference fee does not include the Gala Dinner. More information about the Social Programme, including booking a seat at the Gala Dinner will be provided to registered delegates in due course. When the booking links are live, early booking is recommended.
Yes, the conference is being held in the centre of Budapest. The University of Debrecen is our host this year and but our conference venue will be the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Muegyelem rakpart 3, Budapest.
The official language of the conference is English. All abstracts must be submitted in English and all presentations must be delivered in English.
The currency in Hungary is the Hungarian Forints. Most shops, restaurants and hotels should accept credit cards. Visa and MasterCard are the most widely accepted. Most banks have ATMs where you can access your debit or credit account.
In August the average temperature is 21˚C and the weather is generally warm with average of 10 days of rainfall.

The conference fee covers provision of refreshments during breaks (including tea, coffee, water and some snacks) and three lunches.
